This movie features various references to Thomas Gottschalk's career. He was an actual host at the Bavarian radio station BR and was criticized for his loose and modern way of hosting. However, due to his popularity it was allowed for him to do so.

When Tommy is playing the saxophone he is not moving his hands. It doesn't fit with the music.

Versiones alternativas
For the older video and DVD releases all songs played on the radio were changed to totally different songs, because the music rights expired. Some of Thomas Gottschalk's dialogue was also re-looped (by a different person) because his character introduces the songs. For the 2007 DVD edition the original music rights were renewed and the film appears in the same form like during its theatrical release.

thommy in a movie? yes, and he is not the worst...

with a distance of almost 20 years this film can really be fun. hilarious story, some talented actors, famous names and the feeling of the 80s this flick is in tradition of 70s nonsense films. without thomas gottschalk in the leading role no one could watch this film to the end, but otherwise it´s so bad that it´s getting good again. but don´t consider paying money for the rental, wait for tv.
