- CuriosidadesEpisodes 1-8 of this series are based on original novel #1 of Record of Lodoss War by Ryo Mizuno, called "The Grey Witch". There are also manga and graphic novels by the same title based on this original novel available from CPM Manga. Episodes 9-13 are loosely based on the original novels #3,4,6,7 in the Lodoss War series. The story developed in these last episodes is unique to this animated series from the original story Mr. Mizuno developed. The later animated series "Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight" follows the original novels and "corrects the record" starting after the end of episode 8 of this series.

Reseña destacada
First of all, this anime is so good and, in my opinion, the main point is its design, which is so beautiful and reminds us of the greatest times of Japanese drawings!
Some things that I think could be better are if the relationships between the characters were better developed, especially in the first formation of the group. Something that I noticed is that there were members of the group who didn't have any kind of relationship with some of the other members, and it looked like they were a group that came together just to complete their missions. However, I think it would be cool if this part were better developed.
Another thing that I have to highlight is Karla's motivation, which wants to keep the balance in the world, but always tried to keep Lodoss in the war. Well, I think it is controversial.
Talking again about the relationships between the characters, in the second part of the anime, after Karla's arc, the group has a new formation, and I think the relationships were better developed between the newest members of the group, but the story keeps all the members kind of separated.
In conclusion, I liked it so much, but there are points that could be better. However, the anime is so good to watch, and its main point is its design and the story based on D&D campaigns. I think those who are fans and liked to play it would love this anime!
