Although I have seen this movie some 15 years ago I always wanted to watch it again - without success.
It's a very romantic movie set in Madagascar about the daughter of a rich man who would like to marry another Frenchman with a lower rank. They have to be separated, not knowing that the girls is with child. She intends to kill herself, only to be saved by an older soldier, who is her father's friend. The movie is about how the love story of the young couple gets fulfilled in the end. There's something special about the movie, maybe the atmosphere, so I really enjoyed it.
I would like to get the DVD to see it again, but alas, it was probably never published.
