The series was recorded significantly ahead of its June-August 1983 broadcast date. The Stage magazine ran an article on June 22nd 1982 stating that the "eight (sic) programmes" were complete, and "as yet there are no transmission dates". However, the second series of
The Paul Squire Show (1981) had only just begun airing, so it was unlikely the programme was planned to run around the same time.
