She's marrying Mitch, a man who I love and respect, but who blames himself for Stephanie's death and could very well be mistaking guilt for love. Now my friend Neely, she still covets Mitch.

Neely: I do not covet Mitch. I've just realized that he's the only man I've ever really loved in my entire pathetic, shallow existence.

Caroline: You are not pathetic or shallow.

Neely: Well, thank you, Caroline.

Caroline: You are ruthlessly ambitious and completely without morals.

Neely: I resent that. Maybe I used to be, but I've changed.
