Australian silent of no special merit, this one is naive but not disagreeable.

The poor but (just) virtuous heroine permits herself the slip from established morality of posing for a terribly nice artist, thus outraging her clean cut, Peninsular veteran farmer-fiancé.

There's even more non event plot complication to run the piece out to length.

Ambitious cameraman Higgins who was one of the conspicuous players in Australian film at this time, contrives loads of dissolves in the camera, including the ingenious effect of the artist envisaging the competed painting on the blank canvas.

We get glimpses of the Australian city and country of the day & their attitudes. Once again we have the characters divided into serious and comic, an indicator of the simple mindedness of these productions.
