When I (Douglas Byrne) submitted this film to IMDb, I included a lot more details, eg director, cast and crew. this was missed of so I felt it was my duty to add more details, also a comment about the film.
Main Cast Carl Wahrton, Pete Legg and Sopjie Clare, filmed on location in the woods and beaches of the Wirral, Merseyside UK.
Company Tvplusfilms, Director/Co Producer Douglas Byrne, DOP David Lamb, Edited by Alan Veste, Muisc by Keith Holden.
The film was shot in the winter of 2000, and had its charity Premiere in the Spring of 2001, The film starred the up and coming talent of the local area, which included Liverpool, so was heavy of that accent, The style of filming was improv, as director I told the actors what I wanted to happen at the start and end of a scene but the middle was up to them.
The film starts off with the group in fine mood, but slowly a few red herons and plot lines are thrown in, and by the time the first body is found on the beach, no one knows who to trust. we kept this tension up off screen by telling the people who were about to be killed, only at the last moment, and not telling the killer until the last scene.
We wanted to trade on peoples basic Fears, e.g being lost, death, and pain, you do not see blood or people die, we leave that to the viewers Imagination.
