Right, well I haven't seen the 2018 predecessor movie "The Ghost and the Tout", so I didn't know what I was getting into here, as I sat down to watch the 2021 Nigerian comedy "The Ghost and the Tout Too".
This movie was a swing and a miss from writers Uyoyou Adia, Yusuf Carew, Akay Ilozobhie, Abosi Ogba, Stephen Oluboyo and Jack'enneth Opukeme. In fact, I am rather astonished that a whole six writers could collectively managed to come up with a movie as random and incoherent as "The Ghost and the Tout Too" turned out to be. I found absolutely no enjoyment or entertainment in this movie, as the storyline felt like a number of random scenes filmed independently and put together by director Michael Akinrogunde in an attempt to make a wholesome movie.
Not only did the storyline fail to capture my interest, but so did the character gallery.
I am sure that there is an audience out there for a movie such as Michael Akinrogunde's "The Ghost and the Tout Too", I just wasn't a part of that particular crowd.
This is not a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on.
My rating of "The Ghost and the Tout Too" lands on a one out of ten stars.
