like many productions of Elpis, it is food for Greek - Orthodox faith. illustration of a saint life. without artistic ambitions, naive in many points, it is, in same time, precious because it reflect a special vision about world. it is not exactly answer to Catholic cinema and not a show in sense of definition. it remains only testimony, a kind of theater play, for who not applause or critics are important but encouragement of believers. and this mission is accomplished. the story of Saint Great Martyr Panteleimon is well - known in Orthodox cultural space. so, this film gives nothing new. only support for a mental image of sufferance for Christ. and remember of a way, the single way to redemption.
