- CuriosidadesIt's mentioned in the film that Brazil has the largest Japanese population outside Japan. This is correct; there are an estimated 1.6 million people of Japanese descent in Brazil, making up around 1% of the population.
- PifiasIn the opening scene the bullets he places in the shot glass have already been fired. You can see the indent where the firing pin has struck the primer on the back of the bullet.

John 'Falcon' Chapman: [after subduing thieves in a convenience store] You either shoot me or stop wasting my time!
- Versiones alternativasThere is a second version of the film which uses different angles in violent scenes (various headshots) and shortens the death of Carlo. That version was created by the the studio itself (probably for TV broadcasting). Unaware of two different versions, the German version distributor Black Hill released the cut version. After details of the uncut version were released on schnittberichte.com, the uncut version was released as well. It was released e.g. in Germany (the uncut version was released later as well).

Reseña destacada
After watching two Steven Seagal movies this weekend, I have a basis for comparison to say that this is fine action entertainment. Surely, the plot/story could have been better, but it's far from boring, and one does get to care for the characters. Most of the actors playing Brazilian didn't quite speak proper Brazilian Portuguese, but unless you speak Portuguese you won't notice it, and I didn't care that much, although it does take away some of the authenticity. There's some predictability, so if you're expecting something very original, you'd be disappointed.
This movie delivers different scenes and locations, a story that makes you wonder a bit what's going to happen next, great martial arts fighting from Michael Jai White and even some cool Capoeira moves from Lateef Crowder. The gun fights are also pretty good. If you love action, this movie is fun and leaves you wanting more. Wish there was a sequel...
