"Family First" was a sitcom that aired on the series between 1986-January 1991. The setting of the story is supposed to be in Chicago but none of the cast members speak with a Midwestern accent. All the characters (except for Blaine and Cathy Bartel who are both Canadian) speak with thick Okie accents. Also it's obvious by nearly all exterior shots that the series was filmed in the Tulsa suburbs as Bruam's fast food can be seen in some shorts. Braum's is an Oklahoma based fast food chain that is not available in Illinois.
