MEET YOUR MAKER (2023) is an online science fiction game, set in a dismal future in which humanity faces extinction, after a deadly virus or disease wiped out the majority of the population, unless they can pool their genetic resources together and create the ultimate cure by means of a chimera. There is a race to create the cure, and humanity begins to war against itself in order to be the first to create it. This is a game in which the player must survive other player built outposts, filled with traps and puzzles, in order to steal genetic material and thus building up the power of ones own outpost and character, leveling up the entity know as the "Chimera". As players survive each new outpost, choosing from either Normal / Dangerous / Brutal modes, either with a co-op partner or solo, the game progresses.
Aside from that main story synopsis, originally given in the prologue, there is no apparent story mode, chapters, or way to progress further in the storyline aspect. The game was apparently designed to be endless, a game of building and raiding. Meet Your Maker's gameplay is divided into two parts: building and raiding. Players must navigate and raid creative and dangerous player-made outposts to gather resources to level up their base, purchase items and weapons, and buy traps for outposts they create. The outpost design aspect really makes one plan in advance in order to get the best results.
While it is simple, this game is a fun game to play, very creative and entertaining. There are vast possibilities for player designed outposts and the creative aspect. I hope developers will keep adding more to that end, that there will be more design packs added in the future and more diverse maps. The game is visually appealing graphically and the controls super easy to pick up. So far it's been really fun playing with friends. 10 Stars for enjoyablity. Highly enjoy so far!
NOTE: This game is for older teens (16+) and adults as well, as there is quite a bit of blood and violence, having a much darker tone to the game than other Raid/Build games out there.
