Legend of the Female General

This drama is a classic example of cultural differences between West and East.

This is not strong vs weak, perpetrator vs victim, hero vs villain.

This is about quality of winning, and true strength.

The fact that it promotes female strength makes it especially powerful.

There is a lot of Me Too in there, but as in winning, and not as in victimhood. True emancipation without losing feminine strengths.

Hollywood can learn a lot from this, but I don't think they're capable.

I love this Chinese Drama "The Legend of Female General". The story is so interesting and exciting, the casts are so good and wow, how they execute of their characters. The main female and male lead chemistry complement each other. Love. Hope in the future, they work each other again and more dramas.

Zhou Ye plays He Yan who has risen in the ranks posing as her ill brother and is a celebrated General. When her brother recovers the family try to get rid of her so he can claim her glory and standing. She ends up enlisting in an army led by the cold and mistrusting General Xiao Jue played by Lei Cheng and has ambitions to gain her reputation and take revenge. The two are suspicious of each other but over time realise they have helped each other in the past and must join forces to protect the country and fight against the dark forces at court out for their own gain. Very enjoyable romantic action drama with a good story and great cast.

The series is so good and the characters are so fine. The male and female lead complement each other beautifully, and the heroine's courage and strength are truly commendable." It's still up going put I want to watch it all , I hope that the ending be happy for them because they deserve it a lot , love this drama too much.

If you haven't watched it, you are missing it BIG TIME!!! GOSH!! Just because of watching few episodes I ended up reading the whole novel. And let me tell you, they are doing such a fantastic job with the adaptation and justice to the characters. I love how they have focused of FL and ML equally. And the martial art skills of FL are EXCEPTIONAL!! I'm still not over ep9 icnonic dialogue of FL

"Tell the God of Death. I'm the ghost you murdered. I crawled out of the Netherworld and came to claim your life." (and then she kills Dingyi!!)

And the recent ep18 where they showed the mainlead (accidendal) romance scenes. And the way they executed the love bridge scene/forehead kiss. I'm internally screaming!!! That was the most beautiful thing ever!! Their blossoming love is SO PURE!!!! And who thought Xiao Jue (ML) could tease He Yan (FL) so cutely about blushing.

Ya'll need to watch this show!!.
