Into the Dark

Perhaps the most obscure director to work for daring! Media (one might infer he's just a pseudonym for somebody famous), Joey Darker delivers an above average, often compelling piece of porn titled "Into the Dark". "Dark" is sort of a code word from this company, but doesn't mean kinky -that is a porn genre left to other British outfits like Harmony Films.

All five sex vignettes are set at the same nightclub stage, with lighting effects and an effective backdrop. Darker is enamored of the low-angle camera technique, which has served his peers like DiSanto and Gazzman in recent years. He goes one-step further with a pulsating closeup effect that works very well in a porn POV shot context and surprisingly has not been copied since this film was released 6 years ago.

Certainly Jasmine Black is the most imposing actress in the cast, but for some reason (perhaps a "classy" marketing ploy) she is absent from the still photos on the DVD box cover. I found curly-haired Colette to be the sexiest of the bunch, and given a wholly different styling, Yank import to London for the occasion Bobbi Starr is more appealing than usual. The guys apart from Zenza Raggi are relatively obscure Euro performers, but Darker's distorting photography makes some of their dicks look truly huge. There's no story whatsoever, but a tremendous level of eroticism is achieved.
