From October to December 2012, the Kindred Art Department spent 12 gruelling weeks in 50-degrees Celsius heat, building a spaceship interior inside a hot tin-roofed warehouse in Sydney, Australia. Some 84 days later, the spaceship was complete - and the Kindred shoot began. Then, 5 days later, when it was all in the can, the shooting lease was about to expire. In less than 2 hours, over 600 hours of set building work was destroyed.

Wonderful Short film

Fantastic short sci-fi film.

I loved the special effects in this short movie. Really kept me intrigued throughout. I think its quite difficult to build atmosphere and story telling in short movies. I'm a big fan of short films for this reason. Its got to be punchy and concise. This is the first time I've seen a good crack at doing sci-fi in short movie format. Really made me think.

The Plot centers around extra terrestrials and a relationship to the aboriginal people of Australia. Its not a common theme so provides interest in its unusual combination of subject matter.
