Nungesser was practically indestructible: During the course of his
career, he suffered broken legs (both at the same time), broken ribs,
head injuries, the loss of all his teeth due to an unexpected meeting
between his mouth and the control console, gunshots, fiery crashes, and
still managed to rack up over 40 kills. 45 kills are attributed to him.
