Mike Fraser has worked in the British Film Industry for 47 years. He has vast experience in Postproduction of Feature Films and Television long Form and in 2013, produced the re-cut 59 minute Documentary "Judge a Man by his Actions" and in 2014/5 produced and directed the 98 minute feature drama documentary "The Honourable Rebel".
In May 1967 he started the Mike Fraser negative cutting and Telecine rushes enterprises, which flourished for some 30 plus years.
During that time he was responsible for introducing into the UK, not only the Hamman Spicer enabling negative to be cut without frame loss, but also the Osc/r logging and cutting system for non-linear editing of television and feature films which became the industry standard. It was for these achievements that he was made a fellow of the BKSTS.
He was at the forefront, in the late '90s, of Digital Intermediate Post production in the UK introducing the process using the C Reality Telecine 2k and 4k scanners.
In 2004 and 2005 he founded and ran, virtually single handedly, UK Showcase in Los Angeles, the platform for the UK Film Services industry in the United States.
He has worked on 100's of features and great British Television series over the years.
Mike was a Vice President of the BKSTS. He is a recipient of the President's award for services to the industry.
The British Film Industry is second only to his teenage daughter Annie and 10 year old twins Josh and Mary.
Mike Fraser is the Managing Director of MF Film Consultancy Ltd; director of Post Production Finance Ltd; director of THR The Film Ltd.
