She was introduced to Charlie Chaplin by his son, Sidney and she and Charlie became good friends, she was always welcome at his house and spent a lot of time as a guest in his home in Palm Springs, CA. Her childhood friend, Oona O'neil came to town and wanted to meet Charlie so my mother first introduced them on the phone. Later Charles married Oona and had eight children.
