Lena Murisier is an award-winning writer who co-wrote & co-produced the movie "A Girl Like Him" sequel to "A Girl Like Her" (2015, Netflix) with six-time Emmy & Tony Nominee Tovah Feldshuh ("The Idolmaker," "Kissing Jessica Stein"). Lena worked closely with Emmy Nominee Zachary Quinto ("Star Trek," "Margin Call," "Heroes") on her documentary "Take Us to Church." Additionally, Lena was in the Writers' Room of the BBC, BAFTA-Winning, Emmy Nominated series "Secret Life of Boys" to edit storylines and punch up jokes.
Lena was raised by a single parent in a multicultural home: her grandfather was born and raised in Africa. Her grandmother was a painter. Lena grew up in a small town in Switzerland, where the Chaplin World is located. While storytelling was always a big part of her life, Lena first wanted to become a Formula 1 race car driver, but the lack of representation in the sport pushed her to write about it instead. She is fascinated with true crime, always has a book in her hands, and religiously partakes in Taco Tuesday.
Lena speaks and writes in English, French, and German. She is originally from Switzerland, where she made a career in marketing and advertising. She moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue a career in screenwriting and graduated from the New York Film Academy of Los Angeles.
