She had a full time job as a barista, before deciding to quit and make YouTube her full time job.
Amanda started her channel on August 3, 2014 where she would upload vlog type videos including tags and reviews. She then took a 2 year break from YouTube from May 2016 to May 2018. Her absence from YouTube was due to a variety of things including graduating from High School and getting ready for college moving and having a full time job.
When Amanda came back to making videos, she started her "I Tried [blank] So You Don't Have To" series. Her first viral hit from the series was when she went to Tanacon with it getting over 200,000 views. Her next big viral hit would come when she posted a video when she went to tapings of the show "A Little Late With Lilly", a late night show hosted by YouTuber Lilly Singh.[1] In the video, Amanda revealed many behind-the-scenes information about the show, such as the audience being allowed to take home the chairs and them being ordered to laugh.
