Olivia Vásquez is a proud Chilean and Greek Australian woman and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, Australia. She made her musical theatre debut in the Australian premiere of The Bodyguard the Musical and then starred in the critically acclaimed seasons of In the Heights as Vanessa. She then went on to portray Rosalía in Opera Australia's Handa Opera production on Sydney Harbour of West Side Story. She also created her own cabaret, Miss Vásquez Intimate & Live, directed by Jake Tyler and was seen turning four chairs on The Voice season 10, joining Team Jessica Mauboy. Olivia then went onto portraying the role of Arabia in the Australian premiere of Moulin Rouge! The Musical which toured nationally around Australia.
When not onstage, she is usually modeling as she is a proud advocate for body positivity and was featured in the Vogue Australia Dec' 2022 issue. In 2022, Olivia made her feature film debut in Thor: Love and Thunder alongside Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Russell Crowe, directed by Taika Waititi. Olivia will appear in the animation feature film The Sloth Lane as principal character Gabriella and will also appear in feature film Carmen and Bolude as Juanita. Olivia's debut EP, GODLY TIES, will be out 29th December 2023 which you can find on all streaming platforms. Olivia wrote and co-produced this EP over the course of four years and is very excited for the world to finally hear it.
