Chance Orion Wood possesses a fierce passion for his craft, and has already accumulated an extremely impressive body of work. An accomplished, skilled young actor, voice actor, dancer and martial artist, Chance is unstoppable. This ten-year-old Toronto native already holds 6 martial arts world championships! He is proficient in open hand forms, sparring, as well as sword and bo staff. Chance has worked in television, film, new media, voiceover, commercials and modeling. He is currently appearing in Peacock TV's new original animated series L'il Stompers (2023), voicing the lead characters: 'Theo' and 'Jacob' the twin dinosaurs. The series, as described by Peacock TV, follows "an adorable group of little dinosaur friends as they explore their world and learn to help each other through laughter and play." Chance's other recent voice roles include Wormy, and Chimera's Ghost. An upcoming HBO Max series, yet be revealed, gave Chance the thrilling opportunity to work with their prosthetics team for this exciting role. His latest feature film Massacre at Femur Creek (2024), is scheduled for release later this year. Even more notable is that Chance managed to accomplish all he has while living with Cystic Fibrosis. He is in good health, and his CF has not slowed him down in any way, or interfered with the pursuit of his dreams.
The new show Boogie House Pilot highlights Chance's dance prowess, as he encourages the audience to "get up on their feet and boogie!" In the series Junior/Senior, Chance actually teaches another character how to dance and perform martial arts. His short film credits include the following three titles screened at the 2023 Hamilton Film Festival Like Humans (2023), Mona's Death Party (2023), and Bloody Bobby (2023), as well as You Have. His resume also includes countless commercials and a COVID-19 PSA for the United States and Canada.
With a flair for the dramatic and a particular fondness for the horror/thriller genre, Chance's favorite aspect of acting is "taking audiences to another world." In addition to his film and television work, Chance has been involved with the Sago Mini app for the past two years, in which he performs backflips, sings, tells jokes and helps to educate younger children. He has modeled for Famous Footwear, Sobeys, Cystic Fibrosis Magazine, and Evolution Martial Arts.
