He graduated from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont with a Bachelor's Degree where he played college football for three seasons. He began studying for his Master's Degree in parks, recreation, and tourism management at North Carolina State University in North Carolina where he played football for one season. He was later signed by the Minnesota Vikings in the professional football league.
