Matt Everitt is an award winning writer and director based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
His short film, You Can Go Home Whenever You Want (2024), was developed with The Sundance Institute. The film has garnered nominations for Michael B. Wood's performance as The Custodian and Best Short Film at the 2024 Cindependent Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio.
His other work includes Southampton (2020), which was selected for the BLOW-UP · International Arthouse Filmfest Chicago, and Waffle Home (2022), which won the jury prize at Central Michigan International Film Festival and Best Screenplay at the Grand Rapids Film Festival, in addition to being featured as the short of the week on Film Shortage.
He's worked extensively in the music industry, touring with The Revivalists, Mt. Joy, and Xavier Omar, doing both photo and video work. He's also music videos for Michigander, Mt. Joy, and Xavier Omar.
