Where do I begin. In my time I have seen hundreds of movies, ranging from home filmed to high budget productions, however Puppet Killer (PK) was without a doubt the most horrifically executed one by a country mile. From the preposterous storyline to the god awful acting, this film stood alone in a category of shambolic I've never quite witnessed before. Saying this, I have rated it 4 stars due to the hysterics it left me and family in throughout the entirety of the film. The trigger of the belly aching laughter stemmed from Aleks Paunovic (52)'s first cameo, playing the role of Jamie (17), a high schooler. Paunovic is a 6"5 man mountain, who is greying and has hands the side of most 17 year olds faces. I can do nothing but grant him with kuddos for landing this stellar lead role and his unnerving performance left me feeling agitated and distressed . This was mainly due to the fact that Paunovic was playing a deranged 17 year old and is in reality, 52 years of age. However, there were some stand out performances in PK; in particular, Jett Klyne played the role of "Young Jamie" to absolute perfection and put Paunovics uneven display to shame. In addition, Simon played the role of a serial killer puppet, which is by no stretch of the word, an easy role to play, to a level of mastery which would have been missed from this cinematic. In all seriousness, I struggle to comprehend how this movie made it past the editing stage and onto screens, there should be severe sanctions dished out for whoever allowed that to happen. On the other hand, I seriously cannot wait for PK 2. This can only be described as a horrific masterclass from player, manager Lisa Ovies.
