Grace Helbig is very funny; as demonstrated by her Youtube videos. She has a sense of humor based on awkwardness, timing, and unexpected puns. The problem with this first episode was having a dedicated flow the producers wanted to achieve. Grace is the least funny when given heavy direction as it takes away from the rawness of her humor style. A lot of the show seemed forced. Her awkwardness didn't lend itself to the beginning segments of the show and the whole thing seemed pretty unnatural. The interview was fine, though Grace didn't actually speak much. The part with her Youtube friend was just a Youtube challenge on E!. Finding internet videos to laugh at is nothing new and adding a drinking game to it doesn't really make it different.
I hope they can get the flow of the show more streamlined and in line with Grace's humor. I really want to enjoy it, but when the show seems like a long Youtube video, I can't really see it lasting too long. Grace could be a great show host, but this doesn't really seem like a fitting style.
