I've seen a few of El Gore's previous short gore films like the Snuff Video shorts, he did a great job on the outragious gore effects in those. And i was really impressed, so i bought this one inmediately when i saw this film lying on Grindhouse Films (El Gore's label) stall at the Weekend of Hell horror convention in Germany. It was only 5 euro's so i thought why the hell not, so i watched the film... and it wasn't that much of what i expected. First of all they tried to make serial killer flick with a guy who just doesn't look like a killer, it's a skinny guy who just doesn't have the looks of a madman. He did his best but it didn't work for me, about the gore effects... I know El Gore is capable of making good effects but it just looks bad in this production, which is a shame. I'm not trying to criticize the man since he does a good job normaly, i even subbed to his YT channel. The blood looked like it was red syrup with water, the intestines looked like they took a string of plastic or paper. The slit throat effect and the first head shot where well made, it wasn't that graphic but still. However the part with the man being choked with a plastic bag over his head was excellent, but i have to be honest that one of the headshots and the crushed head looked fake as hell due to the cgi. The camera work wasn't that great either, always use someone who knows what he's doing. In case El Gore is reading this: Dude i love your work and i know you're able to make good gore, i'm only trying to give a bit of advise. For a exploding head (even if it looks unrealistic) you could use a dummy, looks far more convincing. Keep up the good work.
