Miss Novyy god, better known as Miss New Year, is a short Russian cartoon film. On New Year's Eve, a forest holds a unisex beauty contest, where the winner, determined by a supercomputer, will be crowned Mister or Miss New Year. This year, a raven mom forces her to enter the pageant, pitting her against a beautiful vixen, but plans to rig the computer used for scoring to make sure her daughter wins.
Yeah, this is a good short. The animation for its time is actually pretty good, as it feels like an old cartoon. Also, the characters are pretty likable, with the vixen and crow being the best, as they have their own traits, and the story is a great one that teaches a good moral at the end. This is a foreign classic that is worth checking out.
