- Initially, the film was supposed to take place at the Freda's bar in Sydney Australia, setting the film in a more colorful and glamour setting, but the film's location was changed at the last minute for the abandoned (at the time) Alexandria Hotel in Waterloo, Australia.
Allthough the alexandria offered more scheduling freedom, director François Sibiude was quite reticent about the location : it mainly didn't fit the mood of the script but also, the Alexandria Hotel is a place where François went once before, and where he spilled twice his drink before even taking a sip. Making the location cursed.
The film was in the end shot at the Alexandria hotel.
