All things considered, "Nightmare Alley" is a decent film in my book. This film is an interesting storyline that I won't go into too much detail to avoid spoilers. However, the movie spent more time on the build up and character development than some would like. I can see why some viewers may lose interest due to the slow moving pace of the setup of the film.
Those who can tough through the set up of the movie, the remainder picks up tempo to wrap up an intriguing storyline.
I personally believe Bradley Cooper does a great job of getting inside the head and tapping into the mental dark side of his characters, which held true in this instance. Willem Dafoe may have been underutilized, but also had a great performance.
