This little gem showed up one day while I was watching HBO. When it started I had no idea it was a short film and assumed it was a movie or the start of a new series. It immediately drew me in and by the end left me wanting to know what happened next. In such a short time I was already building connections which is pretty impressive. It had great subtle innuendos relating to cultural differences and generational differences. How the older generation view things vs. The younger and reminded me of my own grandparents. All this was done without the heavy weight of underlying hate and racism you see in so many films. I found it to be relatable to many cultures who have first generation Americans. Subtly addressing stereotypes yet embracing culture in a great balanced way. I want more of this film. I want to know where it goes. I want to see the next three years unfold. That alone tells me how good it was. I am literally only writing this review because I googled if they were going to make a full length film or series on this lol.
