It deals with a father of a numerous family , he's called Arturo (Alfredo Landa) married to the good wife Elena (María José Alfonso) , but their children still live at home. These are the following ones : a son (Tomás Martín) who is a saxophonist and causes a scandal with his music and at the same time lives with an American girl usually naked along with other girlfriends . Another daughter (Amparo Larrañaga) who is a psychologist and puts her consultation in the family home , and then appearing a disconcerting client (ambassador Inocencio Arias) . Another daughter with strange habits, she has a turtle and likes exclusively the television programs as Iberian fauna ,and she's an ecologist , of course , she belongs to Greenpeace and a Green Party . Another son who recently separates (Juanjo Artero) from his wife and returns to live at home. Advised by his editor , the family man Arturo tries to wage war to his children. As Arturo attempts at whatever cost escape from his troublesome children plotting all kinds of tramps and tricks to get it .
This is a brilliant comedy with usual ingredients, such as amusing messes, parent-child relationship , brotherhood , goodness, and social customs . However, made on a low budget , appearing limited settings, in fact it feels somewhat claustrophobic due to the fact that it is mostly set on the family flat . It results to be a simple , plain and agreeable comedy about a family where all the children and their partners still live in the parental house , creating all kinds of hectic situations as the parents desperately seek tranquillity , but things go wrong . Stars Alfredo Landa who stands out , as always , as the stressed father who who tries by any means and devising all kinds of tricks to free himself from his children . He's well accompanied by a fine cast giving decent interpretations such as : Maria José Alfonso as his good-tempered wife , and their children played by Amparo Larrañaga, Juanjo Artero , Tomás Martin, Ayanta Barilli. Adding other familiar faces with plenty of illustrous secondaries , such as : Juan Luis Galiardo , Elisa Matilla , Luis Merlo , Inocencio Arias , Eva Isanta , Maria Elena Flores and Antonio Gamero .
