Krista Lane is the unlikely title character in Joe Sarno's TIGHT END, an assembly line hardcore video that fortunately has intriguing leading ladies to make it a cut above his usual late '80s junkers.
Storyline is relegated almost entirely to voice-over narration delivered by unfamiliar, but naturally busty Marisa Betancourt, who also addresses the camera directly in closeups. Unfortunately, she recites her lines by rote, with no emotion. Fortunately she is easy on the eye and a welcome respite from Sarno's usual, overworked troupe.
Story structure is recycled from Sarno's SEXPOT, in which Britt Morgan hired Tasha Voux to protect her from being splattered across the pages of the National Enquirer for some sex escapade, and thereby lose out on an inheritance. In TIGHT END, Jessica Wylde (as Stacy Van Doren) is constantly having sex scandals, so her maiden aunt Agatha (not a character on screen) hires Betancourt (as Catherine Hillary Forbes) to keep her name out of the National Enquirer.
Current problem is with her trying to seduce Reginald Rockingham (another character who doesn't show up in the video!), so Catherine devises a scheme to prevent her from hitting the scandal sheet. Stacy has inherited ownership of the pro football team Long Island Unicorns, and Catherine figures the roster of 46 players can keep even a nymphomaniac like Stacy too busy in the sack to get into trouble. Sarno's script logic escaped me at this starting point, because logically the Enquirer would love to splash a story about a socialite humping her entire football team across its pages, but full speed ahead.
The humping actually begins with the team's coach Howard 'Bud' Clark, very poorly played by Eric Dylan. He's a Sarno regular who can't recite dialog with even minimal competence, and in his first scene here he simply contributes dead air, as when he's asked questions he fails to even ad lib responses -just stands there waiting for the maestro to signal: "To bed!".
A plus with this production is okay sets for a change. There is a white-on-white bedroom set that, per usual, is the site of all sex scenes, even if the script logic would call for another location, but in addition there are two other nicely dressed rooms, one where the heiress has a grand piano and the other also decorated as if a real movie were being shot.
The team is a motley crew of which we see five players: Lane as the female tight end (no mention is made of the historic nature of her breaking the gender barrier in pro football), two Black guys, Dymond Cartier and Nick Frenair, and Peter Gash, plus a fifth player (#75) who gets a line of dialog but no sex. Sarno regular Damian Cashmere is credited but failed to show in this video.
Scored with the same canned rock music of dozens of Sarno videos, show benefits from hot leading ladies. Sarno muffs the lesbian scene matching Wylde and Lane (which could have been a battle of the prominent nipples), by not even showing Lane's breasts (big mistake!), but makes up for it later when Cartier suckles at her famously pointy nipples in a mixed combo sequence. The other interracial scene has Betancourt servicing Frenair.
Like other Sarno quickies, continuity is thrown to the winds in later reels, with shots from an exterior terrace scene of Wylde and Dylan smooching cut into the action randomly and way out of sequence. The stilted dialog is also a drawback, loaded with groaners. The nominal football milieu is hardly respected, as when Wylde remarks: "Looks like our two wide receivers are having a great time", when in fact she is referring to w.r. Cartier making love to tight end Lane.
All three leading ladies are hot, hot, hot, especially tall and thin Wylde, so I have to place TIGHT END among the roughly 5% of Joe's latter-day videos that are technically watchable. He used the pseudonym "Buck Wilson" (macho sounding) this time, also using that moniker for WISHBONE, starring Krista Lane and Porsche Lynn.
