This drama is made by most prominent and popular writer in Bangladesh, in the people of Bengali language, Humayun Ahmed. Most of his, including this, writings based on the life of middle-class, big families. Eishob Dinratri has 59 episodes which show us the daily life of a middle class family of Mr. Shafiq (Bulbul Ahmed). We see many ups and downs, sorrows and happiness, smiles, laughs and weeps, and finally births and deaths. In the contemporary time, the drama was telecast on 1985, the people of that time, especially the people of Dhaka and whoever have television in their home, never miss an episode. The streets became almost empty. Those people even make area based procession for the 6-7 yaers old "Tuni". The character "Kabir Mama" and his dream project "Shukhi Nilgonjo". The tout "Sadek Ali". Abul Hayat as "Dulabhai", a wanderer, calm in nature but determined person. And many other characters which are the major ones. This drama is unforgettable for those who watched from introduction to end, from the first episode to the last. In fine, this drama is based on the struggles of the middle class families in Dhaka.
