¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe character Ermac actually originated as a glitch from the original Mortal Kombat arcade game. If you unlocked the secret battle with Reptile, on rare occasions the game would experience a glitch, resulting in Reptile's pallete changing from green to redish orange, and his name text changing to "ER MAC" ("error macro"). After this was discovered by gamers, the producers decided to officially make "Ermac" a character.

[first lines]
Narrator: You have been chose to represent Earth in Mortal Kombat. Be warned. Although your souls are protected against Shao Kahn's evil: Your lives are not. I cannot interfere any longer as your Earth is now ruled by the Outworld Gods. These are the words of Rayden.
- Versiones alternativasThe Genesis and SNES versions add Noob Saibot and Rain as playable characters, and officially they remove Sheeva. However, in the SNES version there is a cheat that lets the player access an endurance mode, and letting the computer randomly select its characters runs the risk of calling up a glitchy version of Sheeva that only consists of some pixels that can't be hit.
