Badhaai Ho Badhaai

Badhaai Ho Badhaai is a romantic comedy film directed by Satish Kaushik and stars Anil Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Late Amrish Puri, Late Kader Khan, Keerthi Reddy, Govind Namdeo, Anang Desai, Farida Jalal and Rohini Hattangadi.

Two lovers from different casts elope and get married much to the dismay of their parents. Twenty-seven years later, a young man, claiming to be their son, comes to reconcile the differences between the families.

A film with a decent star cast and a promising plot gets partially ruined, partially because the film is not an outright disappointing film and has it's very funny and impressive moments but gets ruined due to too many subplots which doesn't helps in keeping the film afloat. There is a twist in the film which gets revealed too soon and post that the focus of the film gets shifted and breaks the rhythm.

The acting in the film is masterclass by Anil Kapoor and he is equally impressive in both his avatars. Shilpa Shetty and Kirti Reddy were decent but sometime gets too loud and might irritate the viewers. Late Kader Khan the most versatile actor Indian cinema had ever produced were very impressive and leaves a smile on your face whenever he appears on-screen. Amrish Puri another legend was underused.

Screenplay of the film is average with first half of the film is really funny and entertaining but the film starts getting off track from the second half, the film does gets back on the track as the film reaches it's climax but it gets too late. Music and songs of the film is good.

Overall a decently entertaining film which could've been better provided the focus would've more towards the main plot and doesn't wanders in many subplots. Can be watched once for clinical performance by Anil Kapoor.
