Waaris directed by ravindra peepat and written by sohan singh hans based on his novel kaare hatthi, is a sensitive film with brilliant portrayals by each actor. The script is the usp. Film deals with family feud, the complexities of human brain, greed and revenge. Human being, if needed, becomes an animal for his or her selfish interest. And at the same time there's another force which confronts the evil force. Such positive human beings are selfless and live for others. Smita Patil and Amrish Puri are two opposite forces who confront each other and that forms the whole story. Music and action is awesome. Smita patil and amrish puri excel in their roles. Other actors give their best too. The purity of Rural India is clearly visible.

Waaris must be remaked, with tabu in smita patil's role and ashutosh rana in amrish puri's role.
