Hero: The Rock Opera

I saw this production when it was on tour with a couple friends of mine. I had high hopes because some of Christian music industries best known artists were in it. I wasn't disappointed in the least. Michael Tait, Rebecca St. James, Mark Stewart, et all were in fine form. The story was well done, written by Eddie DeGarmo and Bob Farell, both did a great job bring a new spin on a tale as old as time. There was an almost comic book spin on the story, calling Jesus Hero. The production used many elements to tell the story, and the DVD quality is just as high. Filmed while the production was on tour, you don't miss out on what the audience saw in the theater. You are there with them. The music was all original songs, performed by some of the best singers and rappers that came out of CCM industry. A must see for anyone whether they are a a fan of the artists or not.
