I really wanted to like this film, but I just couldn't. . This film was really awful. I've seen several made for video movies with a predominately black cast.Practically all of these movies are shot with extremely low budgets and none of the typical frills that you find in theatrical releases. However there are still far too few roles, other than those that are typecast, for black actors and these movies do provide them with starring roles that they would not get in any other films. The vast majority of these sort of movies are not really good, and the truth is that my expectations are usually low when the cast is mostly unknowns as well as the people behind the camera. When I saw that this movie starred, among others, Tamela Jones, Bokeem Woodbine, Lynn Whitfield, Roger G. Smith, etc., I thought this would be a cut above the rest. Wrong. The only reason I watched the whole thing was because I kept telling myself that it has to get better. Alas, it never did. As much as I want to support my brothers and sisters in the art form of movies, it's got to be better than this. You can have a decent script even without a big budget. This movie certainly had recognizable names, but nothing else.
