Suhasini is widowed in a village fued and ends up marrying her servant Sarath babu . Her son Jagapati decides to stay away in the same village but from her as the astrologer had said that if he stays close to his mother , she will be widowed again . his step brothers create a lot of problems for him . Jagapati tries to keep up the family tradition of rituals and penances for the village diety . His far off cousin Kalyani always tries to lure him. They have a dozen songs together among lush green fields . Kota as the leader of the rival gang joins hands with his step brother to furhter his tensions . Meanwhile Suhasini quitely pines for her son as she is not aware as to why he does not talk to her much. a lot of meaningless fights and violence later all becomes well and the family is united. Sarath Babu is as usual dignified as a silent spectator . Sunil's comedy track is very silly .
