This episode dives into Tommys gipsy background more then we have seen before, Aidah has taken a strong role while Tommy is away in the business and I think she is quite good at it On the downside of this episode, the first half an hour was a bit of a drag, I do feel as the last season more should be happening and with only 3 episodes ever left i feel like they are seriously lacking and just focusing on how good the episodes look. Arthur is still struggling with addiction and it gets in the way again, I think his character has been wasted.

The episode is as good as always. But... At around 11:45 they are talking about Molotov cocktail. The year is 1934.

Even though people had known explosive mixtures for thousands of years, the name "Molotov Cocktail" appeared during Soviet-Finnish war 1939-140. 5 years after the time the season takes place in.

I don't know, maybe it's me but things I watch lately leaves a bad taste in mouth. Even one of my favorite shows dropped the ball so badly. Seriously what was this episode about? I could understand what's happening if we've had one more season because things happened in this episode are going to affect Tommy's judgement and character more deeply in future. New characters like "Eva Braun" and Nelson introduced last episode, some other characters tries to fill Polly's position. I don't think there is enough time to handle all because only 3 more episodes left for the big finale.

On the other hand I don't understand how come a sharp and fearful character like Mosley has become a lap dog now. Weird character development choices for the sake of feminism I suppose. Apparently writers couldn't manage to maintain the balance after Polly's death.

Let's wait and see but this season has been far from satisfying so far.

The episode was well acted but there are too many moving parts at once, with only 3 episodes to go they need to slow it down and focus on a single enticing storyline and maybe bring back some of its grit.

The hope is that it takes a similar rout to the breaking bad finale and there is some sort of dark, satisfying, intelligent, redemption story.

Tommy searches for an alternative cure to Ruby's condition, whilst Ada takes charge of the company in his absence.

This is strong character-driven episode with memorable moments for a number of Shelbys.

Tommy said 'I have no limitations' at the start of this season and in this episode he is portrayed as trying exert his usual influence and control in a desperate situation. This for me is the strongest aspect of the plot thread about Ruby's illness and feels quintessentially how this character would react. How it concludes makes perfect sense for his character arc. Cillian Murphy and Natasha O'Keefe are great in these scenes.

The subplot involving Ada has plenty of strong moments for the character and the best of them are probably the exchanges with Nelson, Mosley and Diana. I'm not sure how many of these scenes were originally intended or might have been reconfigured from Polly's character, but Sophie Rundle does a great job depicting the character asserting herself.

Arthur's trip to Liverpool goes in an unexpected direction for the character. For me it depends what follows as to how significant his exchange with the character Hayden Stagg turns out to be.

As ever the cinematography is strong and the art direction is spot on. The slow motion strutting is cheesy as ever, but if you like that style you will enjoy the Liverpool scenes.
