Couldn't help but feel pretty disappointed with this finale.. There's a reason this show quickly became one of my favourites... The stories weren't drawn out and were concluded quickly and brilliantly ..Never gave you time to get bored with a storyline... However this ending.. the 'Good person framed by bad person' theme has been done to death.. I really hope it isn't going to carry on far into the next series... We all know Nolan by now and there's no way on this earth he would have been tricked in such a manner.. He would have 100% recorded everything to cover himself... He's too good a cop not to..... I love this show and really really hope the next season isn't all about Nolan trying to prove his innocence
I've enjoyed 'The Rookie' right up until the season 2 finale. It doesn't make sense and should have ended with the crooked cop and the Armenians being arrested. Can't write what I really think or the PC police wouldn't allow my review.
Love the show and will keep watching but seriously the ending to the season and setup to the next is a little concerning. Hopefully this new "good cop setup by dirty cop" storyline ends fast and doesn't get dragged out. Terrible way to take the show.
John...a carpenter can't recognize recently altered drywall? He's suddenly stupid when he's had the best cop instincts from day one?
Gosh, how can a good rookie become so dumb all of a sudden? Besides, Nolan is not a teenager and he was one of the best in the Academy - what was that then? A screenwriter wanted to make a super-dooper-cliffhanger so hard, that he thought lowering Nolan's IQ was a great idea? L.O.L.
By the way, making such twists with a protagonist doesn't work. No Nolan - no series; so we already know that the guy will be fine. Exhausted by the investigation, but okay. And even dumber. How else they would make another exciting cliffhanger? R.O.F.L.

- ErroresMultiple people, including cops and lawyers, repeatedly state they have no case without the gun. This is untrue as many officers observed the suspect shooting and killing a man, with bodycam footage. They do not need the gun nor does it need fingerprints even if they had it.

Rosalind Dyer: So if this is the last time I see you, you will live on in my fantasies.
John Nolan: Well, that makes one of us.
