Ritos Ocultos

I had high hopes for this British production, but the story did not translate to an effective horror movie with tension, momentum, and clarity.

The actors were flat in the face of scenes of sacrifice and missing children. The backstory was not convincing. This could have been so much better with quicker pacing and a prevailing sense of urgency.

Instead we got a slow, unconvincing folk tale of a female vicar operating in the midst of a pagan cult village. There is a mild payoff at the end, but its not enough to compensate for the tedious unfolding of the confrontation.
