I think this show is definitely off to a good start and I can't wait to see what happens in episode 3! I'm so invested in this and I think everything about it is creative and fun. So excited to see what they do with these characters next!
Another great episode from Ms. Marvel.
CHARACHTERS: Good to see Nakia in a bigger role in this episode because in the previous episode, Bruno totally overshadowed her. Was happy to see Samina Ahmed and also Mohan Kapoor's acting was amazing!
STORY: It's not digesting well with me that how the story is far away from the comics. And at this point they NEED to focus on her powers rather than showing teenage drama in every episode.
VISUALS: They're as gorgeous as they were in the previous episode. The use of colors is just awesome! Nothing much to say about the CGI but, It's just average. Marvel is a big name they should delver more with the CGI.
SOUND: The music choice was, Obviously, good. Sound design of this whole show is also good.

Once again this episode is fun and simple it's well made and good fun. I loved we got to see more ethnic aspects of Kamala's life and it feels really unique. My main complaint is the cgi and at points the show feels shot like a cw show .
After a bright opening episode. The second instalment has Kamala trying to figure out her superpowers with Bruno's help.
Kamala also develops a crush with Kamran, a new senior boy at school. He seems to like her too.
Of course Kamala is now more confident as well. This is shown when she arrives at school.
However government agents maybe on to her as they show an interest in what happened at Avengercon.
I think having a British Muslim showrunner has given a different slant to this Marvel show. There are explorations of various Muslim cultural experience which I did not expect from Disney.
This is shown by both Kamala and her friend Nakia observing that the ladies facilities in the mosque are not as good. The breaking down of the types of people who come to the mosque. I liked the term the Illumin-aunties.
The pacing was slightly uneven. There were nods to the Spiderman movies as Kamala tests her powers. The story also moves forward as maybe a big bad is introduced.

The title of this review says it all. It completely breaks the immersion when you have someone who is 23, Rish Shah, playing a 16 year old. At least Iman Vellani, who plays the lead character Kamala Khan and is 19 in real life, is closer to the age she plays in the show and can pass for 16, maybe. But when she is flirting with Kamran, Rish Shah, the age gap looks massive because he does look like he's in his mid 20's. At least they could of had him clean shaven. It might have made him look a little younger but with all the designer stubble he just looks like an adult man.
It's so ingrained in US shows though and they have been doing it for so many years now that producers and casting directors don't even see a problem and will happily cast someone too old for a role.
Apart from the above I enjoyed the first two episodes.

- TriviaKamala's father tells a story about a relative named Sana. Sana Amanat is one of the co-creators of Kamala Khan in Marvel comics.
- ErroresKamala's mother puts heavy black liner over her left eye while preparing for the festival (she presumably does the right eye off-screen). The black liner is not visible in any subsequent shots.
- Citas
Yusuf Khan: That's why we moved to America, right? So that our children could be anything that they wanted to be, yeah?
Muneeba Khan: Almost anything.
