Well, we are now 3 episodes into the 8 episodes of series 4 and still waiting for a plot of some sort. Maybe just the barest hint of the possibility of something interesting in the last 10 minutes or so but that's it.

Lots of sex which is becoming gratuitous and just plain boring. Lots of romance with a few hints of break-ups that might just develop into something that could be interesting.

But that's it and that's just not good enough.

Yes, the ball was beautifully staged and lots of lovely outfits but is that enough to sustain this? Not really.

(I'd add, too, that there is a reviewer here who has given this a 10/10 but the text of the review sounds like it came right out of the director's promotional material. I've read reviews of programmes elsewhere on IMDB where many have felt that some of the reviews are increasingly believed to be positive fake reviews placed by promoters in order to increase viewership and I'd hate to think is happening but ... when you read reviews like that one below you do find yourself wondering what is going on)

I can understand some of those jerks who broke with their gfs but It's so unfair for Samuel prove me wrong!

This season was just horrible. No storyline whatsover.
