At its core, Edgerunners is about a street kid named David Martinez who gets pulled into the brutal world of mercenary work in Night City after tragedy strikes. But reducing it to a typical "rise and fall" arc does a disservice to the show's narrative weight. The storytelling hits with the velocity of a bullet to the brain swift, stylized, and searingly emotional. Every episode peels back more layers of cybernetic grime to reveal the fragile, flickering humanity at the heart of its characters.
Studio Trigger's trademark animation is kinetic, unhinged, and often breathtaking a chaotic ballet of bullets, chrome, and color that paradoxically deepens the show's tragic tone. Composer Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) and the sound team deliver a pounding, mournful soundtrack, elevated by the show's now-iconic use of Franz Ferdinand's "This Fffire." It doesn't just accompany the story it haunts it.
But what truly elevates Edgerunners isn't just its craftsmanship. It's how deeply and universally it speaks to us: ambition, love, desperation, sacrifice, and the crushing machinery of systems that chew people up and spit out spare parts. David and Lucy's doomed romance becomes a symbol, not of false hope, but of clinging to something, anything, in a world where everything is for sale, including your soul.
The final moments are a punch to the chest. They're not satisfying in the traditional sense. They're not clean. But they are honest. And that's what sets Edgerunners apart. It doesn't sell a fantasy of rebellion, it shows its cost. And in doing so, it joins the rare echelon of stories that don't just entertain, but warn. It's a tragedy that makes you question what it means to chase dreams in a world built to crush them.
You might walk away wrecked. You should. But you'll never forget it. And this is why everyone needs to see how Cyberpunk: Edgerunners ends at least once.

Good God how do I start... Whole show was absolutly amazing, over those only 10 epizodes I've grown SOO attached to all the characters that I felt every emotion with them, this ending epizode was actualu perfect... no matter what anyone else says alltho everyone propably already figured it out before the last epizode, but I fell like it was the only ending that wouldn't leve me with a felling of unsatisfaction, don't get me wrong it's just the ending that fits with reality of Cyberpunk and we cant do nothing about it, I've also sayed ending and i didn't mean just a season but series as a whole, cause there is no way that iteh story is gonna get continued, sorry but i can't imagine what would even be in season 2. Thats all there is nothing left to say meaby except that evrry time I'll ever hear I Really Want to Stay at Your House i will tear up.
The visuals, the story and the characters are well done in such a short runtime of 10 episodes, one of the best shows i have seen in a while, and I don't say that lighty.
Ending was amazing and I wish we could have seen more episodes for it to hit even harder the it did. The song "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" was a bop at the begging, but now, after finishing the series, it brings back the pain, which i think is a nice touch. All the ost's are well done, and complement the action well.
The show really dosent hold back on its scenes, and combied with great wrighting and cast you care about, make for a masterpiece that is Edgerunners.

Wow what an amazing season finale; was not expecting this show to resonate with me this much even though I've played and beat the game that this show is based off multiple times. That being said wow. This. Episode. The whole show I was invested in David and Lucy's relationship but in this episode it all came together into an honestly perfect finale for a show like this. All the character arcs and motives came to an end in this episode and just ah I'm fresh off watching the ending and it stuck with me so much, those last 10 or so minutes are some of the best I've seen this year in any season finale and when those two characters kiss in front of the moon just made me lose it and it was so beautiful to watch. Thank you to studio trigger and CDPR for making this amazing show. 10000/10.

Its my first review ever and I'm not someone who really does this type of thing so I'm gonna be brief, I never cry watching movies or shows or anything, last time I cried that I remember was like 15 years ago and when I watched the ending of this show + the song of "I Really Want To Stay At Your House" not only I teared up but I cried very heavily, this is one of the best shows I have ever watched and I have watched a lot, the only bad thing that I can say about this series is that it felt very rushed specially the ending and that I would have loved it to be a little bit longer, but it doesn't matter, because the show is perfect. Watch it please.
