The Family Business

Well, this penultimate episode was the best of the series, thus far. It just took way too long to get here. It's as if the cast and crew are finally rounding into shape just as the series comes to a close. The humor that is essential to the success of 'Dexter' was back. Jack Alcott had his best episode. Plot wise and direction, it recaptured that old 'Dexter' suspense.

We had to endure only one of Debs tiresome, profane tirades and only had to endure the insufferable podcaster from her voice on her website. All good. Clancy Brown continued with his compelling character and performance.

The finale is well and truly teed up.

Everything about this episode was amazing, every single shot was so beautifully framed, the culmination of do much emotion between Dexter and Harrison, this is apex level Dexter right here, one of the best episodes of Dexter ever produced!

Wow this episode was incredible. It left me realizing how much I had missed Dexter (the earlier seasons in particular) and that I kinda wish this wasn't a one off mini-series and they will carry New Blood on. However, I guess all good things come to an end, and this next episode will give me the ending I will remember instead of the disaster that was S8EP12.

The Family Buisness was a brilliant episode. The first 10-15 minutes of this episode had me smiling from ear to ear. Seeing the flashbacks with the music was just.... It's been so long since we've seen this with Dexter.

Most of this episode follows Dexter and Harrison as they bond and start the "Family Buisness". It was a rollercoaster from start to finish with amazing acting by both actors.

With only one episode left, I hope to god there is another season. There is no way they can wrap everything up in one episode. There needs to be at least another 1 or 2, but no more than that, we don't want a repeat of last time. But if this is the end, and Dexter gets taken down by some small time cop, the ending will be awful. But I don't think it will be. They wouldn't have brought this legendary character back to end on a bad note. They have something good planned.

Ten years have passed, fans were unsatisfied with the final 8th season of "Dexter" and Showtime understood that some adjustments had to be done, but also, that there are still a fanbase and interrest in this show.

Now, Dexter is back, episode 9 and it's nearly a perfect episode.

I won't spoiler, that wouldn't be fair for the first view experience of this fine episode.

I loved the black humor, I loved the tension throughout the whole episode, I loved the soundtrack and the classic Dexter theme right at the perfect point, I loved the main key scenes of this episode and I loved the cliffhanger.

A tale of morality, justice and family traditions is getting its culmination in this great episode.

Too bad, it's the penultimate episode of this season.

Absolute great episode.
