We had to endure only one of Debs tiresome, profane tirades and only had to endure the insufferable podcaster from her voice on her website. All good. Clancy Brown continued with his compelling character and performance.
The finale is well and truly teed up.
Most of this episode follows Dexter and Harrison as they bond and start the "Family Buisness". It was a rollercoaster from start to finish with amazing acting by both actors.
With only one episode left, I hope to god there is another season. There is no way they can wrap everything up in one episode. There needs to be at least another 1 or 2, but no more than that, we don't want a repeat of last time. But if this is the end, and Dexter gets taken down by some small time cop, the ending will be awful. But I don't think it will be. They wouldn't have brought this legendary character back to end on a bad note. They have something good planned.
Now, Dexter is back, episode 9 and it's nearly a perfect episode.
I won't spoiler, that wouldn't be fair for the first view experience of this fine episode.
I loved the black humor, I loved the tension throughout the whole episode, I loved the soundtrack and the classic Dexter theme right at the perfect point, I loved the main key scenes of this episode and I loved the cliffhanger.
A tale of morality, justice and family traditions is getting its culmination in this great episode.
Too bad, it's the penultimate episode of this season.
Absolute great episode.
Highly recommended.
Watch and enjoy it.

- TriviaThe scene where Dexter looks into the camera and flicks the clown nose prop off of his face was not scripted. It was improvised by Michael C. Hall on set.
- ErroresDexter tells Harrison that he was around Harrison's age when he started exhibiting violent tendencies. He was actually shown numerous times in Dexter (2006) to be as young as 8 or 9 when Harry first started noticing Dexter had his urges. For example, he found out about Dexter having killed neighborhood animals and forbade Deb being given a new puppy.
- Citas
Harrison Morgan: So... you're like... Batman or something.
Dexter Morgan: I like "The Dark Defender"
- Créditos curiososThe first half of the end credits have a Christmas pattern similar to the ugly Christmas sweaters that Dexter and Harrison wore when they visited Angela and Audrey.
- Bandas sonorasIt's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
