At first sight, a motivational short film. In essence, a beautiful one for the precious science of Declan Curran to create a profound story about dreams, reactions of father and friends, the smile of mother and the decision to transform in reality the passion of main character.
The beginning is just seductive, the humor works more than well but the great gift of film is the meeting , in church, between Bernie and Nikki. And her small confession about projects, life, too late and wasted time.
The freshness defines this just charming short film. And the landscapes, the images of work with animals, the talk with friends and the dialogue with Ian are just pillars of a wise build story, in wich the Irish accent has not just a small role.
Short, just beautiful. In profound sense.
