This series shows off duty antics of the 501st JFW, the Strike Witches; and the 502nd JFW, the Brave Witches. Odd numbered episodes are based on the 501st and even episodes follow the 502nd. As one would expect their activities are fairly comical rather than dramatic... the Neuroi are nowhere to be seen.
Having enjoyed both 'Strike Witches' and 'Brave Witches' I found this to be rather fun. We might not get the action and impressive flight sequences but it is great seeing the characters again and the stories do provide plenty of laughs. As a bonus other squadrons of witches are referred to and the prologue to episode eleven gives their names and numbers. Overall I'd certainly recommend this to fans of the earlier series.
