What a fabulous episode, so much going on for both the 'innies' and the 'outies'. Many challenging philosophical and ethical questions are addressed. The rights of the innies regarding their death/deletion, 'over-hours' activation and visibility of their external relationships. Outside, Mark's unravelling reveals the arrangement is not allowing his bereaved 'outie' to develop meaningful new relationships. This latter point is amplified by the final scene reveal, opening up wider moral questions.
This is skilfully shown through fine writing of the concrete plotline - the security chief, the girlfriend and Burt's fate. These are driving the increasing belligerence of the innies, both verbally and with violence.
TV at its absolute finest.

This series is truly unique, compelling, and disturbing...
Finally the story moves along at something past a walk. I appreciate plot development, but it felt like the wheels were spinning a bit, not to say the series isn't enjoyable, it truly is. The MDE scene was FANTASTIC, just perfectly weird and intense, awesome use of color and music. The whole cast just killed it. I got a strange flashback to Lost at certain points, which was completely surprising and oddly fulfilling. A little ::ghasp:: at the end.
In a word, the best way I would describe this series is tone, tonally this series just works. On so many levels, from the score, cinematography, color pallet, to the dialog and acting, all of it...it really is fantastic. Reminiscent of The Leftovers, where all facets of the program seem to be in tune, it really is satisfying to see.
My favorite episode thus far.
Revisit: from ~20:20 "Good day refiners" to ~26:33 "The Musical Dance Experience is officially canceled" is easily the best scene of 2022. If there was an Emmy for Best Scene Trammell Tillman would have won it.

Wow, what an episode. Resolves much of what happened in the last episode yet we are thrown a new curve ball at the very ending shot. What could this mean? I don't know but I'm definitely tuning in next time to find out. This show is so unsatisfying but in a good way. You're always given just enough crumbs and clues to work with... like an expensive French meal, you leave the restaurant still hungry for more.

So much happens in this episode and it's all so great, so many twists, so many turns. The entire episode is intense and it is the big turning point of this show. Absolutely outstanding.
Writing, directing, acting, dancing are at an absolute all time high in this remarkable episode. I've been talking about it non stop since it aired. Just brilliant.
